Danbury Softball Tournaments
Ground Rules
- All field assignments subject to change
- Mat only strike
- Teams must be ready prior to their scheduled game time, games may be running a head of schedule and will start as soon as they can
Mens
- Single/double wall bats non composite
- No Metal cleats allowed at all
- 1-1 count no extra foul
- 6ft-12ft arc
- Pitcher must be in contact with the pitching plate at time of release
- Pitcher must maintain one fluid motion
- Runners coming off the bag will be called out on swing and misses only
- Run rule - 15 after 4 10 after 5
- Championship run rule - 15 after 5
- Pool play - 1hr 5min time limit, no new inning after time limit is up. Inning that has started will finish unless home team is winning
- No time limit in playoffs
- 3 runners - 3 designated players per game to get a runner. Anyone can run for that designated player as long as they aren't coming up to bat
- Up to 12 batters in the lineup
- Pool play coin flip for home/away
- Playoffs higher seed has choice of home/away
- Players must retrieve home run/ foul balls, if we run out of balls the game will end
- 5 hr limit on all fields not progressive, hrs will only count on balls hit over fences or or hit above the white line on the light poles
- Field 2 - hr over fence, fence openings down the line and at home plate are out of play
- Field 3 – hr over fence or above white line on light pole. Any ball hit to left field is all you can get. Out play under fence openings on first base side, 2nd foul line and fence openings on 3rd base side
- Field 4 - hr over fences. Out of play 2nd line and fence openings 1st base side, bushes and fencing openings 3rd base side
Coed
- Men wood bats only, corndog is allowed
- Women swing usa/asa stamped bats
- No metal cleats allowed at all
- 7/4 format
- 1&1 count no extra foul

- Any one can run
- Male for male
- Female for female
- Batting order must be every other (male/female or female/male) until you run out of males or females. The rest of the remaining players at the bottom of the lineup up to 11 batters
- If a male batter walks in front of a female batter, that batter is awarded second base and the female batter has the option to hit or walk to first base

With the time limit we will be going to a point system:
Win - 2 points
Lose - 0 points
Tie - 1 point each

Tie breaker:
Points -> head to head -> run differential -> runs allowed -> runs scored
